El Caño is a small town located in the Coclé Province of Panama. It is part of the Natá District. In Panama, a town like El Caño is called a corregimiento, which is a type of local division.
The town of El Caño covers an area of about 86 square kilometers (33 square miles). In 2010, around 3,351 people lived there. This means about 39 people lived in each square kilometer. The population has grown over the years. In 1990, there were 2,936 residents, and by 2000, it had grown to 3,276.
The name "El Caño" comes from a beautiful waterfall nearby. This waterfall is found in a small creek. The water from this creek eventually flows into a larger river.
