El Peligro is a town in the La Plata Partido (which is like a county) in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It was founded in 1874.

The town is about 22 kilometers (14 miles) west of La Plata City. La Plata City is the capital of the La Plata Partido. El Peligro is also about 45 kilometers (28 miles) southeast of Buenos Aires City, the capital of Argentina.

El Peligro shares its borders with several other towns. These include Buchanan, Abasto, Arturo Seguí, and Melchor Romero. It also borders the Berazategui Partido.

There isn't a train station right in El Peligro. The closest one is Villa Elisa Station. The main international airport in Argentina, Ministro Pistarini International Airport, is about 40 kilometers (25 miles) southeast of the town.

Getting to El Peligro

From Buenos Aires City

To get to El Peligro from Buenos Aires City, you can use two main roads. These are Autovía 2 and Provincial Route 36. These roads run together for a while. They meet up with National Route A004 in the Berazategui District. Autovía 2 ends there, but Provincial Route 36 continues towards Buenos Aires City.

National Route A004 is a highway. It connects to the Ricardo Balbin Highway. This highway is also known as the Buenos Aires-La Plata Highway.

From La Plata City

If you are coming from La Plata City, you can also use Autovía 2 and Provincial Route 36. You can get onto these roads from 44th and 520th avenues in La Plata.

Another way from La Plata City is to take the Ricardo Balbin Highway. Then, you would take National Route A004. Finally, you would switch to Autovía 2 or Provincial Route 36.

There's also a smaller road called former Provincial Route 19. People often call it Arana Avenue. This road connects El Peligro to Villa Elisa, another town in the same area.

Town Services

A company called EDELAP provides electricity to El Peligro. A local cooperative handles the telephone and gas services. However, there is no running water supply in the town.

For mobile phones, people in El Peligro can use three main service providers. These are Movistar, Claro, and Personal. All three are available across Argentina.
