Elena Hight (born August 17, 1989, in [[Kauaʻi]], Hawaii) is an American Olympic snowboarder. She is famous for her skills in the halfpipe event. Elena has competed in the Winter Olympics and won many medals at major snowboarding contests like the X Games. She is also known for being the first woman to land a very difficult trick in competition.

Elena Hight started snowboarding at a young age. She quickly became one of the top athletes in the sport. Her main event is the halfpipe. In halfpipe snowboarding, athletes ride down a U-shaped ramp made of snow. They perform aerial tricks as they go from one side to the other. Judges score them on height, difficulty, and style.

Making History with Tricks

Elena Hight is a true pioneer in women's snowboarding. She pushed the limits of what was possible. In May 2012, she achieved something amazing. While training, she became the first snowboarder to land a "double backside alley-oop rodeo" in a halfpipe competition. This was a huge step forward for the sport.
