About the Blair Hedges' Robber Frog
This frog is a unique creature found only on the island of Cuba. It was first discovered and described in 1997. Even though it lives in a small area, there are many of these frogs there. They are quite common in their specific habitat.
Where Does It Live?
The Blair Hedges' Robber Frog is only known from one small part of Cuba. You can find it near a place called Santa Cruz del Norte. This area is in the Mayabeque Province of Cuba. These frogs like to live on limestone rocks and cliffs. They prefer open areas close to the coast.
What Threats Does It Face?
Even though there are many of these frogs, their home is in danger. New tourist resorts are being built along the coast. Also, there is oil drilling happening in the area. Both of these activities can destroy the places where these frogs live. This means they could lose their natural homes.
