Elia Barceló (born January 29, 1957) is a talented Spanish writer. She used to be a professor in Austria, teaching Spanish literature. Now, she writes full-time and is known for her stories in many different styles. Some of her books have even been made into movies!

Elia Barceló was born in Elda, Spain, in 1957. She studied hard and earned her special degree, called a doctorate, in Innsbruck, Austria, in 1995. She stayed in Austria and became a professor, teaching Spanish literature to students. Over the years, she has won many awards for her writing.

Her Stories and Books

Elia Barceló started writing science fiction in 1981. This type of story often involves future technology or space travel. She is very well-known for her science fiction in Spanish. She also writes other exciting types of books:

  • Crime stories: These are mysteries where someone tries to solve a crime.
  • Horror stories: These are meant to be scary and thrilling.
  • Gothic stories: These often have dark, mysterious settings and sometimes involve supernatural elements.
