Elda is a lively city and a municipality in Spain, located in the province of Alicante. It's a pretty big city, ranking as the 7th most populated in its province. As of 2009, over 55,000 people lived there.

Elda is so close to the town of Petrer that they almost form one big city, with over 85,000 people living there! The Vinalopó river flows right through Elda, adding to its charm.
