Elisa Mainardi (born 27 July 1930 – died 8 May 2016) was an Italian actress. She was famous for acting in plays, movies, and television shows.

Life and Career
Elisa Mainardi was born in Rome, Italy. She studied acting at a special school taught by Peter Sharoff.
Early Stage Work
Elisa started her acting career on stage in 1956. Her first play was called Corruzione a palazzo di giustizia. She acted alongside Salvo Randone and quickly became known for her great performances.
Soon after, she played lead roles in other plays. These included Il sorriso della Gioconda and La penna. She was also the main star in Colombe di Anouilh, directed by Luciano Salce.
Working with Famous Directors
Elisa Mainardi worked with many important directors in theater. Some of these famous directors were Luchino Visconti, Giorgio De Lullo, Silverio Blasi, and Alessandro Fersen.
Besides her stage work, Elisa also acted a lot on television. She appeared in many movies too. She often worked with the well-known director Federico Fellini on several films.
