Ellia Tiriseyani Green (born 20 February 1993) is an Australian rugby union and rugby league player. He was a key member of the Australian rugby sevens team. This team won a gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. He also played for the New Zealand Warriors in the NRLW.

Ellia Green's Early Life
Ellia Green was born in Suva, Fiji. He moved to Australia's Central Coast, New South Wales when he was five. He lived there with his adoptive parents. His adoptive father was Polish and passed away when Ellia was young. His adoptive mother, Yolanta, was English and passed away from cancer in 2018.
Green started Little Athletics at age six. He was very good at sprinting. He spent 10 years in athletics. He even represented Australia in races like the 100m and 200m. He also competed in the long jump at the World Junior Championships. Later, his cousins encouraged him to try rugby sevens. He first played for Warringah at a club level. He then made his debut for Australia in February 2013.

Playing Rugby Sevens
Green scored an amazing 80-meter try against Canada. This happened during an exhibition series at the Gold Coast Sevens. The match was shown live on Fox Sports. Ellia Green joined the Australian Rugby Sevens program. He was recruited after attending a special talent camp in Melbourne in 2012.
Green was a fast sprinter before playing rugby. He had represented Australia in athletics at the World School Games in Qatar in 2009. In May 2015, he scored the winning try against Canada. This happened right after the final whistle at Twickenham in the Sevens World Series. Green was part of Australia's team at the 2016 Olympics. They beat New Zealand in the final. This win earned them the first-ever Olympic gold medal in rugby sevens.
Before the 2020 Olympic Sevens, Green had a knee injury. Coach John Manenti decided not to include Green in the squad. He said it was a very tough decision. He explained that Green's speed, which was his main strength, was not consistent due to the injury. On 9 November 2021, Green announced he was retiring from rugby sevens. He ended his career with many achievements. He played in 149 matches and scored 141 tries.
Playing Rugby League
In September 2020, Green signed with the NRL Women's Premiership (NRLW) team, the New Zealand Warriors. His Australia sevens teammate Evania Pelite also joined the team. Green had planned to sign with the Brisbane Broncos. However, he did not want to go through the four-week COVID-19 quarantine in Queensland.
In his first game, Green scored a try from the sideline against the Broncos. This happened in the 8th minute of the match. Even though he didn't score again in that game, he was a strong player on the wing. Green scored another try in round three. This was against the St. George Illawarra Dragons. He also helped his teammate Evania Pelite score in their 10–22 win.
