Understanding a Humid Subtropical Climate
A humid subtropical climate is a common type of weather pattern found in many parts of the world. It means that the area gets a lot of moisture, especially in the warmer months.
- Summers: In Elrod, summers are usually very warm and feel sticky because of the high humidity.
- Winters: Winters are typically mild, with temperatures that are cool but rarely get extremely cold. Snow is not very common.
Scientists use the Köppen Climate Classification system to describe climates. Elrod's climate is abbreviated as "Cfa" on climate maps. This code helps scientists and geographers quickly understand the main features of the area's weather.
