Eman Al Yousuf (Arabic: إيمان اليوسف) is a talented writer from the United Arab Emirates. She was born in 1987. Eman has written several books, including three novels and three collections of short stories.

One of her novels, Guard of the Sun, won the important Emirates Novel Award in 2016. This book was so popular that it was translated into seven different languages! Eman Al Yousuf was also the first Emirati woman to be invited to a special writing program at the University of Iowa in the United States. She writes regularly for newspapers in the UAE and even wrote a short film called Ghafa.

About Eman Al Yousuf

Eman Al Yousuf has a background in science. She studied to become a chemical engineer at the American University of Sharjah. Later, she continued her studies and earned a master's degree in Knowledge Management.

She is well-known for her writing. Her novel Guard of the Sun, published in 2015, won the 2016 Emirates Novel Award. Eman also wrote a book in 2015 called Bread and Ink, which featured interviews with other female Emirati writers.

Eman Al Yousuf made history by writing the first short film by an Emirati woman that focused on women's issues. The film, called Ghafa, was shown at the 2017 Dubai International Film Festival. She was also the first Emirati writer chosen for the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa in the United States.

Her play, "The Teapot and I," was chosen to represent the UAE at a major festival for art and literature. Eman shares her thoughts and stories in monthly and weekly columns in Emirati magazines and newspapers. She often takes part in cultural events, like the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, and has represented the UAE in many countries around the world.
