Where is the Embassy?
The French Embassy is in a famous part of London called Knightsbridge. It's right next to Albert Gate, which is an entrance to the beautiful Hyde Park. If you stand outside, you'll see the Embassy of Kuwait directly across the street.
Who Designed the Building?
The building was designed by a famous British architect named Thomas Cubitt. He also designed other buildings nearby in the 1840s. At that time, these buildings were the tallest in the Knightsbridge area. Thomas Cubitt's son, George Cubitt, was the great-great-grandfather of Queen Camilla. Before moving to Knightsbridge, the Embassy was located at Derby House in Grosvenor Square.
