Emi Suzuki (鈴木 えみ, Suzuki Emi), also known as Emichee, is a famous Japanese model. She was born on September 13, 1985. Emi Suzuki started her modeling career in 1999 with Seventeen magazine. She has been a big part of the Japanese fashion world ever since.

Emi Suzuki's Early Life
Emi Suzuki was born in Shanghai, China. Her birth name was Wu Ziliang. She was an only child. When she was 12 years old, she moved to Kyoto, Japan. She became a Japanese citizen. She changed her name to Emi Suzuki before starting junior high school in Kyoto.
When she was 13, Emi began modeling. She started working professionally the next year. She went to Kyoto Ryoyo High School but did not finish her studies there.
Emi Suzuki's Modeling Career
Emi Suzuki started modeling after a classmate suggested it. She first appeared in Seventeen magazine in 1999. In the same year, she was in her first TV commercial. It was for Dancemania Speed 2. Soon after, she became very popular. She appeared in many fashion shows for different clothing brands.
Becoming a Top Model (2002–2007)
From 2002, Emi Suzuki began modeling for designer brands. These brands had strict rules for models. She also appeared in a music video for Ketsumeishi's popular song Sakura in 2005.
Emi Suzuki had thought about stopping modeling and moving back to Kyoto. But her agency and the publisher Shueisha started a new magazine called Pinky. She then ended her contract with Seventeen in 2006. Emi became a regular model for Pinky magazine. She was on the cover of the very first issue. Most of her Pinky covers featured her alone.
While working for Pinky, Emi also modeled for many other fashion magazines. She appeared in ads for big companies like Shiseido, Suntory, Meiji, and OPC. Besides magazines and ads, Emi Suzuki also acted in several TV shows. These included The Long Love Letter, The Queen of the Lunch, Water Boys 2, and Yukan Club. Her role as a character named Karen in Yukan Club was very well-known.
Emi Suzuki's Work Today (2010–Present)
In January 2010, Emi Suzuki made a surprise appearance on Fuji Mezamashi TV. This was a news program she had been on when she was new to modeling. Even with a busy schedule, she has called herself a "semi-retired" model. She has also hinted that she does not want to focus on acting.
Near the end of 2010, Emi Suzuki was featured in the first issue of Used Mix Special Edition CLOSET. She was one of three main models in the magazine.
Emi Suzuki's Personal Life
Emi Suzuki married a man who works in the fashion industry in February 2013. They had dated for only three months before getting married. Their daughter was born on October 7, 2013.
Emi Suzuki became best friends with fellow model Nana Eikura in 2003.
