Emily Capers (born Emily Day on August 9, 1987) is a retired American beach volleyball player. She was born in Torrance, California. Emily is known for her strong performance in various beach volleyball tournaments around the world.

Early Life and Education

Emily Day attended Loyola Marymount University. She was a very talented student-athlete. She earned a degree in applied mathematics. She also studied business administration. During her time at college, Emily received many awards. These awards recognized her skills both in sports and in her studies.

Volleyball Career Highlights

Emily Capers had a successful career in beach volleyball. She played in many important tournaments. She won gold medals and silver medals with different partners.

Early Career and Partnerships

In 2009, Emily won a gold medal at the NORCECA Circuit in Jamaica. She played with her partner, Claire Robertson, at that time. Later, in 2015, she teamed up with Jennifer Kessy for the AVP season.

Major Achievements

Emily won several gold medals on the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour. These included wins in Haiyang (2018), Rubavu (2021), and Brno (2021). She also earned silver medals in Sydney (2019) and Edmonton (2019). In 2016, she won a bronze medal in Antalya.

Emily also had great success on the AVP Pro Tour. She won the Young Guns Manhattan Beach event in 2009. She was also an AVP Pro Tour Champion in Cincinnati in 2013. She won the Manhattan Beach Open twice, in 2016 and 2017. In 2017, she won the Huntington Beach Open and the Hermosa Beach Open. That same year, she was named AVP Team of the Year with her partner, Brittany Hochevar.
