Emily Robins facts for kids

Emily Iris Robins, born on May 21, 1989, is a talented actress and singer. She was born in London, England, but grew up in New Zealand. Many people know her from the TV show Shortland Street, where she played Claire Simone Solomon from 2004 to 2007. She also starred as Scarlett Carlyle in the teen drama SLiDE. Emily grew up in Orewa, New Zealand, and was involved with the Centre Stage Theatre there.

Becoming a TV Star

Emily got her role in Shortland Street by auditioning while she was still in high school. She won the part of Claire, a main character on the show. For her great work, Emily received a special award in 2005 called the TV Guide 'Best on the Box' People's Choice Award. She left the show in July 2007.

Stage and Screen Roles

In 2007, Emily also performed on stage in a play called The Crucible in Auckland, New Zealand. She played the character of Susannah.

In 2008, Emily Robins landed the main role in an Australian children's TV show called The Elephant Princess. She played the lead character, Alexandra Wilson. This show was very popular and ran for two seasons. In the United Kingdom, the show was known as The Rock Princess. Later, in 2011, she was cast as Scarlett Carlyle in the Australian teen drama series SLiDE.

More recently, Emily played the character of Toni in the 2016 TV2 drama series Filthy Rich.
