The Elephant Princess is an exciting Australian TV show for kids. It first aired on Network Ten in 2008. The show was created by Jonathan M. Shiff Productions. A second season came out in 2011. The story is about a normal Australian teenager. She finds out she is actually the heir to the throne of Manjipoor. Manjipoor is a magical kingdom in India.

About The Elephant Princess Show
Alex Wilson thinks she is just a regular girl from Melbourne, Australia. But on her 16th birthday, something amazing happens! A special visitor named Kuru arrives in her backyard. He brings a magical elephant named Anala. Kuru tells Alex that she is the true princess of Manjipoor. This is a secret Indian kingdom.
Alex is surprised and not sure she wants to be a princess. With Kuru's help, she starts to learn about her magic powers. She must protect her royal family's land from her tricky cousin, Vashan. Alex has to balance her normal life with her new royal duties. She needs to find out who she is truly meant to be.
In the second season, Alex and her family move to the Gold Coast. Her best friend, Amanda, joins her there. They go to university and look for a new drummer for their band. Meanwhile, in Manjipoor, a character named Diva returns. She wants to take over the kingdom. Diva also wants to learn the secrets from a special book.

Main Characters
- Emily Robins as Alexandra "Alex" Wilson: Alex is the main character and the princess of Manjipoor. She is a normal teenager who sometimes sleeps in or forgets homework. Alex can be a bit short-tempered but is very loyal. Her biggest dream is for her band to become famous! Her full birth name is Liliuokalani Parasha Kaled Persephone Amanirenas.
- Miles Szanto as Kuru: Kuru is Alex's loyal helper. He came from Manjipoor with Anala to teach Alex about her magic. He also helps her get ready to be a princess. Kuru found it hard to fit in on Earth at first, but he soon got used to it.
- Maddy Tyers as Amanda: Amanda is Alex's best friend and loves fashion. She is also one of the lead singers in their band. When Alex first told her and JB about her secret, they thought she was joking. But Alex showed them a magic trick with bunnies, and they believed her. In season two, she falls for Taylor when they move to the Gold Coast.
- Emelia Burns as Diva: Diva was Vashan's helper in the first season. In the final battle, she showed everyone that she was a 600-year-old witch. She used her powers on Vashan and the others. When Diva realizes how strong her magic is, she tries to take over Manjipoor from Alex.
- Georgina Haig as Zamira (season 2): Zamira is Caleb's younger sister. She was also a childhood friend of Kuru's. She doesn't like Alex at first. Zamira believes Alex's mother killed her own mother. Later, they find out that Diva was the real killer.
- Richard Brancatisano as Caleb (season 2): Caleb is Alex's love interest in the second season. He tries to flirt with her, which Alex finds annoying at first. But they spend more time together because Alex visits Manjipoor often, and Caleb works there. They develop a complicated relationship with lots of drama.
- Eka Darville as Taylor (season 2): Taylor is a close friend to Alex and Amanda. When he found out Alex's secret, he reacted much like Amanda and JB. But he quickly accepted it. He is Amanda's boyfriend and plays the drums in their band. Taylor is a very caring and loyal friend. He appeared in every episode of season two.
- Siam as Anala: Anala is the magical elephant who helps Alex.
Supporting Characters
- Sebastian Gregory as JB (season 1): JB was best friends and bandmates with Alex and Amanda. He was often desperate and interested in girls. He is not mentioned in the second season.
- Damien Bodie as Vashan (season 1): Vashan is Alex's evil cousin. He tried many ways to hurt Alex or steal the magic jewel from Anala. He often teased Alex in the first season. At the end of the season, when Diva became very powerful, Vashan lost all his own powers. He does not return in season two.
- Liam Hemsworth as Marcus (season 1): Marcus was Alex's boyfriend in the first season. He joined Alex's band and fit in well. Kuru did not like him because of his relationship with Alex. Marcus was caring but often jealous and suspicious of Kuru. This led to his breakup with Alex. He was not mentioned after he left the show.
- Brett Climo as Omar (season 1): Omar is the queen's advisor. He is also Alex's biological father.
