Ketnet is a TV channel from Belgium made just for kids! It broadcasts in Dutch. The VRT owns and runs it. VRT is the public broadcaster for the Flemish part of Belgium. Ketnet shows a mix of programs made in Belgium and shows from other countries. You can watch it on the VRT3 channel from 6 AM until 8 PM.

Ketnet first started on December 1, 1997. Back then, it shared a channel with Canvas. Later, on May 1, 2012, Ketnet got its own new channel. It shared this channel with a program called Op 12. Op 12 stopped broadcasting on December 31, 2014.

Ketnet also has a special part for younger kids called Ketnet Junior. This part shows programs for preschool children. You can find Ketnet Junior on the Canvas channel from 10 AM to 7 PM.

If you speak French, Ketnet has a sister channel called Ouftivi. You can watch Ouftivi on the La Trois channel.

KetnetRadio: Music for Kids

On November 17, 2007, Ketnet started its own online radio station called KetnetRadio. It plays a 3-hour program that repeats all day long. A new program is made and broadcast every single day. KetnetRadio is hosted by Kristien Maes, who is also a Ketnet presenter. You can listen to KetnetRadio on the official Ketnet website.
