Aladdin is an exciting animated TV series from Disney. It was made by Walt Disney Television Animation. The show aired from February 6, 1994, to November 25, 1995. It is based on the popular 1992 Disney movie Aladdin.
Even though the TV series started before the movie sequel The Return of Jafar, its story happens after that movie. The series continues the adventures of Aladdin and his friends. The final movie sequel, Aladdin and the King of Thieves, came out in 1996.
The TV show was created by Alan Zaslove and Tad Stones. They were also known for other Disney shows like Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers and Darkwing Duck. Many of the original movie actors returned to voice their characters. However, Dan Castellaneta voiced the Genie, taking over from Robin Williams. Val Bettin became the voice of the Sultan.
The Aladdin TV series first showed on The Disney Channel in early 1994. Later that year, it also aired on The Disney Afternoon and CBS. The show was very popular and was rerun on Disney Channel and Toon Disney for many years.

Story of Aladdin's Adventures
The series takes place in the magical city of Agrabah. The story begins one year after the first Aladdin movie. It also happens after the events of the second movie, The Return of Jafar.
Aladdin is now engaged to Princess Jasmine. He goes on many exciting adventures with his friends. They work together to protect Agrabah from new dangers.

List of Aladdin episodes A total of 86 episodes were made for the Aladdin TV series. This was more than the usual 65 episodes Disney made for its shows back then. The movie Aladdin and the King of Thieves happens after the TV series.
Aladdin and his friends even made a guest appearance in another show. They were in an episode of Hercules: The Animated Series called "Hercules and the Arabian Night" in 1998.

Main Characters
- Genie (voiced by Dan Castellaneta): Genie is one of Aladdin's best friends. He was freed from his lamp, so he can use his magic freely. Genie helps Aladdin protect Agrabah. However, his powers are not as strong as they used to be. He calls them "semi-phenomenal, nearly cosmic."
- Aladdin (voiced by Scott Weinger): Aladdin used to be a street urchin. His life changed when he met Princess Jasmine. He is now engaged to her and will become a Prince. He learns about his future duties while protecting Agrabah from many threats.
- Princess Jasmine (voiced by Linda Larkin): Jasmine is a strong and independent princess. She wants to make her own choices. After meeting Aladdin, she gains more freedom. She starts to experience new things she never could before.
- Iago (voiced by Gilbert Gottfried): Iago used to be a villain, but he has changed. He is still very greedy and loves treasure. Iago sometimes causes trouble by leading the group on dangerous treasure hunts. But deep down, he is good and always does the right thing. Iago can also copy other people's voices.
- The Sultan (voiced by Val Bettin): He is Jasmine's kind father and the ruler of Agrabah. He allowed Aladdin and Jasmine to get engaged.
- Abu (voiced by Frank Welker): Abu is Aladdin's mischievous and loyal monkey friend. He is a skilled thief and loves gold and jewels. Abu and Iago often team up to find riches.
- Magic Carpet: Magic Carpet is a loyal friend to Aladdin and his group. He used to live in the Cave of Wonders. He is their main way of traveling and often plays games with Genie.
