Kellie Martin (born October 16, 1975) is an American actress. She is known for her roles in popular TV shows and movies. Some of her most famous characters include Rebecca "Becca" Thatcher in Life Goes On, Lucy Knight on ER, and Samantha Kinsey in the Mystery Woman TV film series. She has also starred as Hailey Dean in the Hailey Dean Mysteries.

Early life and first roles
Kellie Martin started acting when she was just 7 years old. Her aunt, who worked for actor Michael Landon, helped her get a small part on a TV show called Father Murphy. When she was 11, she even appeared on a game show called Card Sharks during a special week for young people.
Her acting journey
Starting out in TV shows
Kellie had a regular role on Valerie's Family: The Hogans from 1987 to 1988. She also lent her voice to the cartoon character Daphne Blake in A Pup Named Scooby-Doo. In 1989, she got a big role as Rebecca "Becca" Thatcher in the family drama Life Goes On. This show was very popular and ran for four years. That same year, she was in the movie Troop Beverly Hills and even helped host the pilot episode of America's Funniest Home Videos.
The 1990s: More famous roles
From 1991 to 1995, Kellie voiced Molly Tasmanian Devil in the cartoon Taz-Mania. In 1993, she appeared in the movie Matinee and a TV show called seaQuest DSV.
In 1994, Kellie starred in her own TV series called Christy. She also played a lead role in the TV movie A Friend to Die For. In 1995, she starred in The Face on the Milk Carton, a TV movie about a teenager who discovers she was kidnapped as a child. She also voiced Roxanne, Max's girlfriend, in A Goofy Movie.
From 1998 to 2000, Kellie joined the cast of the medical drama ER as a medical student named Lucy Knight. At this time, she was also studying at Yale University. She took a break from her studies to act in ER. After leaving the show, she paused acting for three years to finish her degree in art history at Yale.
The 2000s and beyond
In 2003, Kellie starred in Mystery Woman, a Hallmark Channel movie. She played Samantha Kinsey, a bookshop owner who solves real crimes. She made ten more Mystery Woman films for Hallmark, and she even directed two of them! She also had a role in the comedy movie Malibu's Most Wanted in 2003.
In 2006 and 2007, she starred in the TV films Live Once, Die Twice and No Brother of Mine. She also voiced an adult version of Barbara Gordon in an episode of The Batman.
Kellie has made guest appearances in many popular TV shows, including Grey's Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer, and Private Practice. In 2012, she played Army Captain Nicole Galassini in the TV series Army Wives.
From 2016 to 2019, Kellie starred in the Hailey Dean Mystery series for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. She played Hailey Dean, a former prosecutor who becomes a therapist and solves mysteries. These movies are based on books by Nancy Grace. In 2017, she also played a police officer in the comedy series The Guest Book.
Personal life
Kellie Martin graduated from Yale University in 2001 with a degree in art history. She married Keith Christian on May 15, 1999. They have two daughters together.
Besides acting, Kellie also owns and runs her own toy store. She has also written a novel called Madam: A Novel of New Orleans.
