Charles Michael Adler (born October 2, 1956), known as Charlie Adler, is an American voice actor and voice director. He is famous for giving voices to many cartoon characters. Some of his well-known roles include Buster Bunny in Tiny Toon Adventures, Ickis in Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, and the characters Cow, Chicken, and The Red Guy in Cow and Chicken. He also voiced Mr. Whiskers in Brandy & Mr. Whiskers and Starscream in the Transformers movies.

Early Life and Interests
Charlie Adler's family moved a few times when he was young, living in New York and Massachusetts. He got the nickname "Beanie" because he always wore a beanie hat. Growing up, Charlie loved watching TV. He was a big fan of shows like Rocky and Bullwinkle and The Three Stooges.
Starting a Career in Acting
Charlie Adler's first acting job was in a commercial in 1971. After that, he took a break from acting and worked many different jobs. He was a waiter, a janitor, and even a house painter!
In the mid-1980s, he acted in a play called Torch Song Trilogy in New York City. He was even nominated for an award for his performance. In 1986, he moved to California.
Becoming a Voice Actor
Charlie's first voice acting role was in New York City. He voiced Spike in Rescue at Midnight Castle, a My Little Pony special.
He really wanted to get into voice acting. He impressed some important agents by making up different characters during his audition. Even though he was shy and hid his face, his talent shone through!
His voice acting career really took off when he got roles like Nat Smurfling in The Smurfs, Silverbolt in The Transformers, and Eric Raymond in Jem. He found that he enjoyed voice acting much more than live-action acting.
Famous Cartoon Voices
In 1990, Charlie Adler became the voice of Buster Bunny in Tiny Toon Adventures. The show's creators really wanted him because of the energy he brought to the character.
He continued to voice many popular characters throughout the 1990s. These included Chance "T-Bone" Furlong in SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron, Ickis in Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, and Ed and Bev Bighead in Rocko's Modern Life.
A big moment in his career was when he voiced Cow, Chicken, and The Red Guy in the cartoon pilot No Smoking. This pilot became the popular series Cow and Chicken in 1997. He won an Annie Award for his amazing voice work as Cow. He also voiced I.R. Baboon in the spin-off series I Am Weasel.
Voice Directing Work
Besides acting, Charlie Adler also became a voice director. This means he helps other voice actors perform their roles. He started directing in the late 1990s for shows like Rugrats. He has directed many other animated shows, including The Wild Thornberrys, Rocket Power, Blaze and the Monster Machines, and Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny.

Charlie Adler has continued to voice many characters in recent years. He voiced Mr. Whiskers in Brandy & Mr. Whiskers and Doctor Doom in The Super Hero Squad Show.
