What is the Show About?
The show follows Blaze, a red monster truck, and his smart human driver, AJ. They live in a world full of talking monster trucks called "Monster Machines." Their friends are also monster trucks: Starla, Stripes, Zeg, Darington, and Watts (who joins later). Gabby is a human mechanic who can fix anything and later drives Watts.
Each episode also features Crusher, a sneaky blue truck who often tries to cheat in races. Crusher is always with a small, goofy truck named Pickle.
How Episodes Work
In each episode, Blaze and AJ go on different adventures and solve problems. They often ask the audience for help. Blaze can even transform into different vehicles or objects to fit the situation. He also has a special power called "Blazing Speed," which lets him go super fast!
Sometimes, Blaze, AJ, and their friends race against Crusher. Crusher usually tries to cheat using his robot parts. But Blaze and AJ always find a way to get past his tricks and win. Other episodes might not be races, but still involve Blaze competing against Crusher to get an item. Sometimes, they help a friend like Starla, Zeg, Darington, Stripes, Watts, or even Crusher and Pickle.
Every episode includes two or three original songs. These songs are often about the adventure or explain the STEM concept of the episode.
Characters
Main Characters
- Blaze (voiced by Nolan North) is the main hero. He's an orange-red monster truck with a flame design. Blaze is kind, loyal, and brave. He's the best racer in Axle City, especially with his "Blazing Speed." He also helps the Axle City Fire Department and Police Department in later seasons. Blaze can even transform into different vehicles like race cars or animals when visiting special places.
- AJ (voiced by Dusan Brown, Caleel Harris, and Ramone Hamilton) is Blaze's human best friend and driver. He's a science and technology expert. AJ wears a red and white racing suit and helmet. His helmet has a "Visor View" to see hidden things, and he has a wrist-com watch to call friends. AJ often explains the STEM concepts in the show.
- Crusher (voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson) is a deep blue monster truck and Blaze's rival. He loves to cheat in races and builds gadgets to help him. Crusher often gets into funny trouble. Even though he cheats, Crusher isn't truly mean. Sometimes, he even helps Blaze and his friends, and they help him too!
- Pickle (voiced by Nat Faxon) is a small green monster truck and Crusher's sidekick. He's goofy and has a high-pitched voice. Pickle is usually positive and friendly towards Blaze and his friends, even though he's with Crusher.
- Gabby (voiced by Angelina Wahler and Molly Jackson) is a smart human mechanic. She has purple hair and wears blue overalls. Gabby can fix any truck that gets damaged. Later, she becomes a Monster Machine driver for Watts, making her the first female Monster Machine driver!
- Stripes (voiced by Sunil Malhotra) is a yellow-orange and violet striped truck. He has tiger-like abilities, like a great sense of smell and sharp claws on his tires. He lives in a treehouse in the jungle.
- Starla (voiced by Kate Higgins) is a purple pickup truck with a cowgirl hat. She's an expert at roping and speaks with a Southern accent. Starla runs a farm outside Axle City and is the first female Monster Machine.
- Darington (voiced by Alexander Polinsky) is a blue and white monster truck with stars. He's clumsy but loves doing stunts. His catchphrase is "Daringtooooon!"
- Zeg (voiced by James Patrick Stuart) is a light green truck that looks half-dinosaur (a triceratops). He's strong and has a short vocabulary, often talking about himself in the third person. He lives in a prehistoric cave.
- Watts (voiced by Melanie Minichino) is a magenta monster truck powered by electricity. She speaks with a South American accent and is the newest of Blaze's friends. Watts has an electric engine and special yellow electric tires that make her super fast. She is driven by Gabby.

Locations
Axle City
Axle City is the main place where Blaze, AJ, Gabby, and all the Monster Machines live. Famous spots include the Monster Dome, where many races and events happen, and Mud Mountain, where they have Mud Fest. Axle City also has medieval lands and nearby islands. Monster Machine events like the Axle City Grand Prix are held here.
VelocityVille
VelocityVille is where the "Race Car Adventures" episodes take place. Blaze and his friends travel there with the help of Swoops. Unlike Axle City, VelocityVille is full of Race Cars. When Blaze and his friends visit, they transform into race cars too! AJ's racing suit even changes slightly. In VelocityVille, race cars drive super fast, and events like the Race to Eagle Rock happen.
Animal Island
Animal Island is a special place where all kinds of animals live, including insects. Unlike animals in Axle City, animals on Animal Island can talk like humans and Monster Machines. Blaze and his friends visit Animal Island by raft or with Swoops. In these "Wild Wheels" episodes, the show teaches fun facts about different animals instead of just STEM concepts.
