Nolan North (born October 31, 1970) is an American actor. He is super famous for his voice acting roles, especially in video games.
He first became well-known as Dr. Chris Ramsey on the TV show Port Charles in 1997. After that show ended in 2003, Nolan North started focusing on voice acting. He is now best known for playing characters like Nathan Drake in the Uncharted games. He also voiced Desmond Miles in the Assassin's Creed series. Other big roles include Deadpool in various Marvel Comics games and the Penguin in the Batman: Arkham games. He is also the voice of Ghost in the Destiny video game series.
In animated shows, North voices Smokescreen on Transformers: Prime. He is also Superboy on Young Justice. You might also know him as the main character in Blaze and the Monster Machines.

Early Life
Nolan North was born in New Haven, Connecticut. He grew up in Warwick, Rhode Island. There, he went to Bishop Hendricken High School and played baseball.
He later went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He studied journalism and had a baseball scholarship. After college, he worked as a reporter in New Jersey. Then, he moved to New York City to try stand-up comedy and acting.
His Amazing Career
Nolan North eventually moved to Los Angeles. In 1997, he got a role as Dr. Chris Ramsey. This was for the TV show Port Charles. During this time, he also did some voice work for video games. After Port Charles ended in 2003, he decided to focus on voice acting.
Becoming Nathan Drake
One of North's most famous voice roles started in 2007. He voiced and performed the movements for Nathan Drake. This was the main character in the video game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.
He continued to play Nathan Drake in many other Uncharted games. These include Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (2009) and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception (2011). He also voiced Drake in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End (2016). He even played Drake in the PlayStation Vita game Uncharted: Golden Abyss (2012). For his work as Drake, he was nominated for awards twice.

Nolan North has voiced many other popular video game characters. He was the Prince in Prince of Persia. He also played Desmond Miles in the Assassin's Creed series.
Other roles include Vossler in Final Fantasy XII. He was also David in The Last of Us. He voiced Dr. Edward Richtofen in the "Zombies" mode of the Call of Duty games. He also took over the voice of Ghost in Destiny: The Taken King. He even re-recorded all of Ghost's lines from the first Destiny game. In Destiny 2: Forsaken, he voiced both Ghost and Cayde-6.
He voices many characters in Team Fortress 2. These include Merasmus and the Mann brothers. He also voices several characters in Dota 2.

In 2013, Nolan North appeared in the movie Star Trek Into Darkness. This was one of his few live-action roles after becoming a voice actor. The movie's director, J. J. Abrams, cast him because he was a big fan of North's work as Nathan Drake.
