Avengers Assemble is an American animated TV show about the famous Marvel Comics superhero team, the Avengers. The show was made after the 2012 movie, The Avengers, became very popular. It first aired on Disney XD on May 26, 2013. This series took over from The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

The show was part of the Marvel Universe block on Disney XD. It aired along with other shows like Ultimate Spider-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy. The creators of the show were a group called Man of Action. They also helped produce the first two seasons.

Story of the Avengers

Meet the Team

In Avengers Assemble, Falcon is the newest member of the Avengers. He helps viewers see the world through his eyes as he fights bad guys. The main team includes Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye. Together, they work to save the world from many threats.

Season One: The Cabal Attacks

The story begins with Red Skull, a major villain, who is very sick. He teams up with MODOK and upgrades HYDRA's technology. Red Skull tries to switch bodies with Captain America. After the Avengers stop him, Red Skull takes Iron Man's armor. He attacks the Avengers at their home, Avengers Mansion, which gets destroyed. Red Skull then tries to make people hate the Avengers.

To fight the Avengers, Red Skull creates his own team of powerful villains called the Cabal. This team includes Attuma, Doctor Doom, and Dracula. Doctor Doom chooses not to join. The Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. find out about the Cabal. The Avengers decide to stay together and move their base to Avengers Tower. Later, the Cabal adds Justin Hammer's robot, Super-Adaptoid, and Hyperion, a powerful alien who thinks he's a hero. The Avengers fight the Cabal and other dangers that threaten Earth.

Season Two: Infinity Stones and Ultron

The Avengers meet Thanos, an even bigger villain, who is looking for the Infinity Stones. Red Skull had stolen one of these stones from Thanos. The Avengers gather all five Infinity Stones and defeat Thanos. But then, Ultron, a super-smart robot, drains the stones' power. Ultron wants to destroy all humans. He takes over Arsenal's body. The Avengers defeat Ultron. Later, Ant-Man joins the team.

Near the end of season two, Thanos escapes from a space prison with help from the Black Order. Thanos tries one last time to defeat the Avengers. With help from people on Earth, the Avengers beat Thanos and the Black Order. After this, Captain America and Iron Man plan to make Earth an "Avengers World" by finding more heroes.

There's also a story about the Squadron Supreme, Hyperion's old team. This team includes Nighthawk, Power Princess, Doctor Spectrum, and Speed Demon. They were thought to be gone when their planet exploded. They come to Earth to take it over. Hyperion rejoins them. The Squadron Supreme tries to become Earth's heroes and save the world their way. They fight the Avengers in many ways. They even bring back their sixth member, Nuke. The Avengers eventually defeat the Squadron Supreme by trapping them one by one. Nighthawk tries to blow up Earth, but Iron Man stops him. The Squadron Supreme is then locked up in a special prison called the Vault.

Season Three: Ultron Revolution

The Avengers stop their plans to add more heroes because there aren't many global threats. Ant-Man leaves the team. After dealing with A.I.M.'s Scientist Supreme, Ultron returns! He absorbs A.I.M.'s Super-Adaptoid technology. Now, Ultron wants revenge on the Avengers. He also wants to replace all humans with robots.

Ultron attacks the Inhumans' city of Attilan. He plans to use Black Bolt to power his weapon. But Black Widow and Hulk throw Terrigen Mist into the weapon. This causes some humans with Inhuman ancestors to gain powers. These new Inhumans include Inferno and Kamala Khan, who gets shape-shifting powers. Black Bolt and his Inhuman Royal Family, like Medusa and Lockjaw, search for the new Inhumans.

Another story in this season follows Baron Helmut Zemo. He is the son of Captain America's old enemy, Baron Heinrich Zemo. Helmut Zemo finds a Super-Soldier Serum and uses it to become young and strong. He wants to destroy the Avengers to get revenge for his father. He forms the Masters of Evil with villains like Beetle and Screaming Mimi. They steal a device from Stark Industries. They use it to pretend to be the Thunderbolts, a hero team. But Songbird sees what it's like to be a hero and convinces her team to turn against Zemo. The Avengers and Thunderbolts work together to expose and defeat Zemo.

The Avengers also face Kang the Conqueror. He comes to the present time after fighting Iron Man in his own time. Kang finds out that some A.I.M. agents have been using his technology. When most of the Avengers follow Kang back to his time, they team up with an older Thor and a future Black Widow. They fight Kang's forces.

The President signs a new law called the New Powers Act. This gives the Avengers a government contact named Truman Marsh. He even replaces Hulk with Red Hulk. But after an incident with Leader, Hulk returns.

The Avengers separate from Truman Marsh because of the Inhuman Registration Act. This act makes Inhumans wear special disks. Truman Marsh then creates his own team, the Mighty Avengers. This team includes Red Hulk, Black Panther, Songbird, Ant-Man, Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Vision. The heroes fight until Ultron, pretending to be Truman Marsh, mind-controls the Inhumans through their disks. This starts the Ultron Revolution.

Once the Inhumans are free, Ultron plans to collect radiation to "cleanse" Earth of all human life. With help from Doctor Strange, the Avengers trap Iron Man in a no-tech dimension because Ultron has taken over his body. The Avengers set up a new base in an old S.H.I.E.L.D. building. Falcon helps Tony Stark talk to them from the other dimension.

Season Four: Secret Wars

The Avengers' plan to bring Iron Man back is stopped. A new Cabal forms, led by Leader. This group includes Arnim Zola, Enchantress, Executioner, and Kang the Conqueror. Leader destroys the link to Iron Man. He plans to use a device called the Static Expander on the captured Avengers.

Black Panther forms the New Avengers to save them. This team has Ant-Man, Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, Vision, and Wasp. Even though Leader is defeated, the Cabal uses a backup plan. They activate the Static Expander, which scatters the captured Avengers across time and space. Captain America tells Black Panther's group to keep fighting until they can be found.

The New Avengers work to bring the original Avengers home. Jane Foster finds the scattered Avengers. She gives the New Avengers special bracelets to rescue them. Vision and Wasp find Falcon in a future New York City. Ant-Man helps Captain America, Hawkeye, and Black Widow escape from Dimension Z. Black Panther finds Hulk being hunted by Executioner. Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel free Thor from Enchantress's control.

Both teams return to Earth. They find that Loki has taken over Earth using the Casket of Ancient Winters. He has an army of dragons and Frost Trolls. Both Avenger teams defeat Loki and imprison him.

Loki had told a powerful being called the Beyonder about Earth. To Loki's surprise, Beyonder uses the Bifrost Bridge to take parts of Earth, Asgard, and other places, including where Tony Stark was stuck. He mixes them all together to form Battleworld for his "experiment." With Iron Man back, the Avengers team up with Loki to rebuild the Bifrost Bridge. They want to get everyone back to Earth. During the final battle, Doctor Strange gives Loki a special orb to activate the Bifrost Bridge. Thor throws his hammer, Mjolnir, to Jane Foster, turning her into a female Thor. They undo Beyonder's experiment. But Loki reveals that he wanted the orb to conquer Asgard and Earth. With help from Jane Foster's Thor, the Avengers defeat Loki. Thor gets Mjolnir back. Odin gives Jane Foster a new weapon called Thunderstrike.

Season Five: Black Panther's Quest

After Loki's defeat, the Avengers invite Shuri to a party. But after an attack by Atlanteans, Black Panther and Shuri go on a secret mission. They need to stop a new group called the Shadow Council. This group includes Black Panther's teacher N'Jadaka, Tiger Shark, and the shapeshifting Princess Zanda. Black Panther keeps this mission a secret from most of the Avengers, except Captain America.

With help from his step-brother, White Wolf, Black Panther finds out that M'Baku and some Wakandan citizens are part of the Shadow Council. He also gets help from Baron Zemo, whose father led an older version of the group. Killmonger teams up with Ulysses Klaue and Madame Masque.

The Shadow Council wants an artifact called the Crown. It lets someone connect to the memories of dead people. Zemo tries to take it, but it becomes unstable away from Wakanda. Captain America uses his shield to absorb an energy blast from the Crown. Black Widow thinks Black Panther killed him. With the Avengers and the world against him, Black Panther frees Klaw. He wants to learn Killmonger's plan. Black Panther, Shuri, and Klaw enter the Hall of Royals, a burial place for Wakandan kings and queens. Black Panther learns about the Shadow Council's plan by looking at his ancestors' memories. He also finds out that Captain America was absorbed into the Crown. He pulls both of them out.

Black Panther tries to contact the Avengers, who are in Atlantis. They are trying to hand over Killmonger and Tiger Shark. Black Widow answers his message. Black Panther tries to prove he's innocent by showing her Captain America is alive. But they learn that Princess Zanda has replaced Black Widow. While the Avengers talk to Attuma and his daughter, Lady Elanna, Zanda hides a bomb in Iron Man's armor. Black Panther and White Wolf try to tell the Avengers the truth. But they can't stop a fight that injures Hawkeye, kills Attuma, and makes Elanna want war with the surface world. The Avengers forgive Black Panther and look for the real Black Widow.

They find Black Widow. But when Black Panther returns to Wakanda, the Shadow Council recruits Bask, an ancient warrior. Bask defeats Black Panther and becomes the new ruler of Wakanda. Black Panther and White Wolf escape. Bask has Madame Masque create a beam that attacks Atlantis, starting a war between Wakanda and Atlantis. During the battle, Black Panther defeats Killmonger. Shuri convinces Bask to not be so obsessed with protecting her people. Bask lets Black Panther use the Crown to defeat Elanna before Wakanda sinks. Bask sacrifices herself to destroy the laser. She names Shuri her successor. The Crown is destroyed. Black Panther then defeats Tiger Shark. Wakanda takes Tiger Shark prisoner, and Black Panther lets Elanna take Killmonger as Atlantis's prisoner.

With Shuri watching over Wakanda, Black Panther tracks Madame Masque to a HYDRA base. He reunites with the Avengers there. Madame Masque attacks and captures Iron Man and Red Skull. This makes the Avengers and HYDRA agents work together. After healing Hawkeye's hands, Madame Masque realizes Black Panther was right and ends her own life. Hawkeye forgives Black Panther. Black Panther rejoins the Avengers.
