Story of Ultimate Spider-Man

List of Ultimate Spider-Man episodes

Peter Parker has been Spider-Man for one year. He has saved many lives and fought supervillains. But he is still learning how to be a great superhero. Nick Fury from S.H.I.E.L.D. offers Peter a chance to train. He wants Peter to become "The Ultimate Spider-Man." To do this, Peter must learn to work with a team. His team includes four other teenage superheroes: Nova, White Tiger, Iron Fist, and Power Man.

Season 1: Becoming a Team

In the first season, a bad businessman named Norman Osborn tries to get Spider-Man's DNA. He wants to create an army of spider-soldiers. He uses Doctor Octopus to send many villains after Spider-Man. Doctor Octopus also uses Spider-Man's blood to create the Venom symbiote. This symbiote then bonds with Harry Osborn, Norman's son and Peter's best friend.

In the end, Spider-Man learns that Norman was behind everything. Doctor Octopus then turns Norman into the Green Goblin.

Season 2: New Challenges and Origins

After a big fight with the Green Goblin, Spider-Man's team moves into Peter Parker's house. Doctor Octopus tries to create more super-soldiers using animal DNA. A S.H.I.E.L.D. scientist, Dr. Curt Connors, injects himself with one of these serums. He turns into the Lizard.

Doctor Octopus controls Lizard and forms the Sinister Six. This team includes Electro, Rhino, Kraven the Hunter, and Beetle. Spider-Man and his team defeat them, but Lizard escapes. Spider-Man promises to find a cure for him. The Sinister Six later return with Scorpion instead of Beetle.

During this season, Spider-Man learns about his teammates' pasts. He finds out how they got their powers. Norman Osborn, who was the Green Goblin, gets cured and tries to be good. He becomes Iron Patriot to help Spider-Man. But Doctor Octopus turns him back into the Green Goblin. The Green Goblin then turns Spider-Man's team into monster goblins. Spider-Man cures them, and they stop the Green Goblin from spreading his gas.

Season 3: Web-Warriors and Spider-Verse

In the third season, Spider-Man briefly joins the Avengers. But he decides to stay with S.H.I.E.L.D. The Venom symbiote permanently bonds with Flash Thompson, who becomes Agent Venom. Nick Fury asks Spider-Man to find other young heroes to form the New Warriors.

At the same time, Green Goblin hires Taskmaster to find young heroes first. Taskmaster wants to form his own team, the Thunderbolts. Spider-Man recruits Ka-Zar and his pet smilodon Zabu, and Amadeus Cho in his Iron Spider armor. Taskmaster recruits Cloak and Dagger and Vulture.

The New Warriors defeat the villains, and Cloak and Dagger join Spider-Man's side. Green Goblin escapes with a powerful item called the Siege Perilous. This leads to a "Spider-Verse" adventure. Green Goblin travels across different universes to collect DNA from other Spider-Men. He wants to become the Spider-Goblin.

Spider-Man chases him and meets other versions of himself. These include Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Girl, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Ham, Spyder-Knight, and Miles Morales. They all team up to defeat Spider-Goblin. After this, Goblin turns back into Norman Osborn and loses his memory. Spider-Man and his team then start training at the S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy.

Season 4: Sinister Six and Graduation

In the final season, Doctor Octopus teams up with Arnim Zola and HYDRA. He starts forming a new Sinister Six. He tries to turn Norman Osborn back into Green Goblin, but Osborn has a cure. Doctor Octopus then brings a different Green Goblin from Miles Morales's universe. He also recruits Rhino, Hydro-Man, and Electro.

Spider-Man forms his own new team. It includes Agent Venom, Iron Spider, Miles Morales (now called Kid Arachnid), and the new hero Scarlet Spider. Scarlet Spider is later named Ben by Aunt May. It turns out Scarlet Spider was a spy for Doctor Octopus. He reveals Spider-Man's identity to Doctor Octopus. But Scarlet Spider changes his mind and sacrifices himself to save the city.

Later, Spider-Man finds out that Nick Fury and Nova were protecting Madame Web from HYDRA. Fury is rescued and leaves Spider-Man in charge of S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy. Experiments with the Venom symbiote lead to the return of Carnage. Carnage causes everyone in the city to turn into monsters. Harry Osborn wakes up from a coma and becomes Anti-Venom. He helps cure the civilians.

The Carnage symbiote is still alive and tries to find Mary Jane Watson. She is taken over by the symbiote and becomes the "Carnage Queen." Spider-Man, Agent Venom, and Patrioteer save Mary Jane. She then destroys the symbiote herself.

Madame Web realizes that destroying the Siege Perilous broke the walls between universes. Spider-Man and Miles Morales travel to other realities. They try to collect the pieces of the Siege Perilous. An evil Spider-Man named Wolf Spider also wants the pieces. He plans to conquer all universes. They meet other spider-heroes and repair the Siege Perilous. Wolf Spider takes it, but Spider-Man tricks him into absorbing too much power. Wolf Spider explodes, and the other spider-heroes return home. Miles Morales decides to stay in Spider-Man's universe.

Spider-Man and Mary Jane discover a clone of Spider-Man named Kaine. Kaine leads them to "Project Kaine," which combines Spider-Man's DNA with Synthezoids. Mary Jane learns to control the Carnage Symbiote inside her and becomes Spider-Woman. Doctor Octopus and Arnim Zola created Scarlet Spider as part of "Weapon S." This project created Spider-Man/Synthezoid Spider-Slayers. Scarlet Spider was meant to lead them.

In the series' final story, Doctor Octopus warns Peter Parker that he should not be Spider-Man. He says Peter's Aunt May will die if he continues. Spider-Man gathers his teams. Doctor Octopus and his Superior Sinister Six capture Spider-Man. They use an antidote to make him lose his powers. But Spider-Man works with Norman Osborn and gets his powers back. He then uses the antidote to cure Vulture, Rhino, and a Lizard-mutated Crossbones. He also defeats Scorpion and Kraven.

Spider-Man cures Doctor Octopus, who was a monster. Doctor Octopus then helps Spider-Man save his teammates and the graduation guests. In the end, Otto Octavius surrenders. Spider-Man and his team graduate. Agent Venom and Scarlet Spider become new teachers at S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy. Peter Parker continues his superhero life as The Ultimate Spider-Man.

Characters and Voice Actors

How the Show Was Made

The TV show is based on the Ultimate Spider-Man comic book. Brian Michael Bendis created the comic and also helped write and produce the show. Paul Dini and the "Man of Action" team also worked on it. Twenty-six episodes were made for the first season.

Paul Dini said the show features a "redefined" Peter Parker. It includes many guest stars from Bendis's comics. It also has new stories about how some heroes and villains got their powers. J. K. Simmons returned to voice J. Jonah Jameson, just like he did in the Spider-Man movies.

The series shows Spider-Man joining S.H.I.E.L.D. He works under Nick Fury with four other teenage superheroes. Villains like Living Laser, Venom, and Doctor Doom were shown in early trailers.

Ultimate Spider-Man first aired on April 1, 2012, on Disney XD in the U.S. It also premiered in the UK and Canada later that year.

Disney XD and Marvel announced Season 3 on July 20, 2013. This season was called Ultimate Spider-Man: Web-Warriors. In it, Spider-Man joins the Avengers. New characters like Cloak and Dagger, Amadeus Cho, Ka-Zar, and Agent Venom were introduced.

A fourth season, called Ultimate Spider-Man vs. the Sinister 6, started on February 21, 2016.

In 2015, Marvel also released free digital comics called Ultimate Spider-Man on their "Marvel Kids" website.
