Josh Keaton (born Joshua Luis Wiener on February 8, 1979) is an American actor. He is famous for lending his voice to many popular characters. You might know him as Takashi "Shiro" Shirogane from Voltron: Legendary Defender. He has also voiced Spider-Man in many different shows and games. Another big role was Jack Darby in Transformers: Prime. He even voiced the young Hercules in the 1997 Disney movie Hercules.

Josh Keaton has also voiced Electro in the video game Marvel's Spider-Man. He was Ryu Hayabusa in the Ninja Gaiden video games. Fans of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will recognize him as Revolver Ocelot. He is also the voice of King Anduin Wrynn in the game World of Warcraft. More recently, he voiced Tyler in Pokémon Concierge.

Early Life and Background

Josh Keaton was born in Hacienda Heights, California, on February 8, 1979. This is a city near Los Angeles. His father was from New York City, and his mother was from Lima, Peru. Josh has three sisters named Danielle, Alitzah, and Sabrina.

He learned to speak Spanish first when he was a child. Later, he learned English. He also picked up some Quechua from his grandparents on his mother's side. His family has different backgrounds; his father is Jewish and his mother is Catholic.

Josh Keaton's Acting Journey

Josh Keaton's career includes work in TV shows, video games, and movies. He has done both live-action acting and a lot of voice acting for cartoons. When he was a baby, he appeared in a commercial for OshKosh B'gosh clothes. In the 1990s, he was part of a boy band called No Authority. He also signed with record labels as a solo singer.

Voice Acting Highlights

Keaton voiced Jules Brown in Back to the Future: The Animated Series from 1991 to 1992. He also voiced Major Ocelot in the video games Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops.

From 2008 to 2009, he was the voice of Peter Parker / Spider-Man in The Spectacular Spider-Man animated series. He has played Spider-Man in several video games too. These include Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and Spider-Man: Edge of Time. From 2017 to 2020, he voiced many characters in Marvel's Spider-Man on Disney XD. He also played the villain Max Dillon / Electro in the 2018 Marvel's Spider-Man video game. He did both the voice and the motion capture for Electro.

In 2011, Keaton became the voice of Spyro the Dragon in the Skylanders game series. He also voiced Jack Darby and Tailgate in Transformers: Prime. Another big role was Hal Jordan / Green Lantern in Green Lantern: The Animated Series.

Since 2012, he has been the voice of Anduin Wrynn in the popular video games World of Warcraft and Heroes of the Storm. In 2016, it was announced that Keaton would voice Shiro in Voltron: Legendary Defender. This animated series started on Netflix on June 10, 2016.
