Aquaman is a famous comic book superhero. He is published by DC Comics. Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger created him. Aquaman first appeared in a comic called More Fun Comics #72. This was in November 1941.
During a time known as the Silver Age of Comic Books, Aquaman helped start the Justice League of America. This is a team of powerful superheroes.
Aquaman's story has changed many times since 1941. He has many special powers. He can breathe underwater and swim super fast. Aquaman is also very strong and hard to hurt. His most famous power is talking to and controlling sea animals.
Aquaman has been in many cartoons, like Super Friends. He also appeared in the live-action TV show Smallville with Superman. Jason Momoa played Aquaman in the 2016 movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
