Chronology
Preceded by Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated (2010–13)
Followed by Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? (2019–present)

Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! is an American animated TV series. It's the twelfth show in the famous Scooby-Doo series. The show was made by Warner Bros. Animation.

In this series, the Scooby-Doo gang decides to travel during their last summer break together. But their fun trips are always interrupted by spooky monsters! This show is more comedic than the one before it, Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated. It uses character ideas from the very first 1969 Scooby-Doo show. The characters also have a slightly new look.

The series was first announced in March 2014. It was planned to air on Cartoon Network. Later, it was confirmed to air on Boomerang. However, it actually premiered on Cartoon Network on October 5, 2015. Some later episodes were released on Boomerang's streaming service. The final episodes aired on the Boomerang TV channel in March 2018.

What's the Story?

Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! character redesigns
The redesigned main characters, as they appear in the series

The Scooby-Doo gang wants to have a fun summer road trip in the Mystery Machine. This might be their last summer together before college. But scary monsters keep showing up and stopping their journey. So, the gang has to solve these mysteries!

Who Are the Voices?

Here are the talented actors who give voices to your favorite characters:

How Was the Show Made?

Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! was announced in March 2014. It was part of a plan to bring back classic Warner Bros. cartoons. Sam Register was the main producer for the show. Shaunt Nigoghossian directed the animation. Each episode is about 22 minutes long.

This show is the twelfth TV series in the Scooby-Doo family. It was designed to be funnier and less dark than the previous show, Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated. A producer named Zac Moncrief said it was more about the whole group working together. They wanted to bring back the funny parts of the original 1969 series. This also meant there were no romantic storylines, unlike in Mystery Incorporated.

The characters got new designs, but they still wear their classic clothes. Scooby-Doo doesn't talk as much in this series. Fred has also updated the Mystery Machine with cool new gadgets.

This was the first Scooby-Doo TV series without Casey Kasem. He used to voice Shaggy for many years. Frank Welker is now the only original voice actor still working on the show. It's also the first series since A Pup Named Scooby-Doo where Velma is voiced by someone other than Mindy Cohn. Kate Micucci took over the role of Velma.

Where Did It Air?

Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! first aired in the United Kingdom and Ireland on October 4, 2015, on Boomerang. It then premiered in Canada on Teletoon on October 8. In Australia and New Zealand, it started airing on Boomerang on December 28. The series also aired in 2019 on e.tv.
