Debi Derryberry (born September 27, 1960) is a talented American voice actress. She uses her voice to bring many characters to life in cartoons and video games. You might know her best as the voice of Jimmy Neutron, the super-smart boy genius from the Jimmy Neutron shows and movies.

Early Life and How She Started

Debi Derryberry was born in Indio, California. After finishing high school in 1978, she went to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). There, she studied kinesiology, which is the study of how the body moves. After college, she moved to Nashville, hoping to become a country singer.

Her first acting job was in a show called Hey Vern, It's Ernest! in 1987. She also worked as a stunt double for another actor in the movie Ernest Goes to Camp. A friend's mom, Dorothy Menville, suggested Debi try voice acting. Debi sent her voice recordings to different agents. One agent, Ginny McSwain, told Debi to move back to California. Soon after, Debi got her first big voice role as Jackie on Bobby's World.

Famous Voice Roles You Might Know

Debi Derryberry has voiced many characters that kids and teens love. Her most famous role is the main character from the first CGI movie Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and the TV show The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius.

She also voiced Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family cartoon from the 1990s. She was Tinker Bell in Fox's Peter Pan & the Pirates. In The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, she was the voice of Nergal Jr.

For younger kids, she voiced Jay Jay, Herky, Savannah, and Revvin' Evan in Jay Jay the Jet Plane. She also played Tad in many LeapFrog animated videos. In video games, she is well-known as Coco Bandicoot in the Crash Bandicoot games. She also voiced Draculaura in Monster High and Maureen Murphy in F is for Family.

Debi also voiced Clay in the Playhouse Disney shows in the early 2000s. In Japanese anime shows dubbed into English, she voiced Ryo-Ohki in Tenchi Muyo!. She even won an award for Best Actress in a Comedy for her voice work as Zatch in Zatch Bell!.

Besides voice acting, Debi worked on the 1993 movie Free Willy. She was the stunt double for the actor who played Jesse in scenes with the whale, Keiko. She often voices young boys and tomboyish girls. She also did voices for Ice Age: The Meltdown, Weenie and Catrina on Oswald, and Jake, Taz's little brother, on Taz-Mania.
