Crash Bandicoot (series) facts for kids
Crash Bandicoot is a fun series of platform video games. In these games, you control a character who jumps between platforms and avoids obstacles. The games were first made by a company called Naughty Dog. Later, many other companies helped create more Crash Bandicoot games.
The stories in the games take place on the fictional Wumpa Islands, which are located south of Australia. By 2007, there were 15 Crash Bandicoot games, and they had sold over 40 million copies worldwide! The main hero in all these games is a character named Crash Bandicoot.

Games by Naughty Dog
The first Crash Bandicoot game was created by Naughty Dog in 1996. It was simply called Crash Bandicoot. In this game, Crash had to rescue his girlfriend, Tawna, from the evil scientist, Neo Cortex.
After the first game, Naughty Dog made a sequel (another game in the series) called Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. This time, Crash had to save the world from Cortex again.
The third game from Naughty Dog was Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped. In this adventure, Crash once more defeated Cortex. He also stopped Cortex's friend, Uka Uka, who wanted to take over the world. Uka Uka used a time machine with the help of Nefarious Tropy. This game was released on the PlayStation console.
The fourth and final game made by Naughty Dog for Crash and his friends was Crash Team Racing. This was a racing game! An alien named Nitrous Oxide challenged everyone on Earth to a kart race.
