Billy is a boastful, athletic 9-year-old boy who has a crush on Brittany-Ann. Terry is a teenage girl who babysits BG and George. Gad's grandmother, Ouma, lives with his family.
Main Characters
The Baxter Family
- BG (also known as Gudule in French) is 7, then 8 years old. She's a curious redhead who loves diving into adventures. BG is a natural leader among her friends, even if she can be a bit bossy. She's also a bit of a tomboy and loves hanging out in the tree house. BG cares about her little brother George, but sometimes she loses patience when he wants to play with her and her older friends.
- George (Gaston in French) is BG's adorable younger brother. He's also a redhead. George looks up to BG and always wants to play with her and her friends, especially in the tree house. He tries to copy BG's words and actions, and her approval means a lot to him. George is sensitive and sweet. He is 3, then 4 years old, and loves watching a TV show called "Fishy the Fish."
- Albert (nicknamed Albie) is George's beloved pet hamster. He often rides around perched on George's head!
- Dad (Papa in French) is named Jeffrey Baxter. He's a good-natured redhead, just like his kids, and works as a local vet. He knows BG can usually get him to say "yes" to things, especially when he's watching TV. But when he makes up his mind, it's hard to change it!
- Mom (Maman in French) is Charlotte. She's a brunette and works from home as a freelance journalist. She's always busy balancing her job with looking after her family and her younger sister. She's warm and understanding, but also tough. When she gets really mad, even BG knows to be careful!
- Aunt Alice is Charlotte's sister. She spends a lot of time at BG's house and loves doing projects with BG and George when their parents are out. She's BG's favorite babysitter.
Friends and Neighbors
- Alex (Bertrand in French) is one of BG's best friends. He has blonde hair and wears green and white striped shirts and red glasses. He often joins BG in the tree house.
- Gad Mansour (Cheb in French) is another one of BG's best friends. He's a little shy and quieter than BG and Alex. But BG knows she can always count on him to help solve problems. Gad is super smart in science and loves inventing things. He lives with his grandmother and father, who owns a local grocery store.
- Brittany Ann McAdams (Marie-Aglae in French) is BG's wealthy blonde neighbor and sometimes her rival. She's rich, a bit spoiled, and pretty, and she loves to brag. Brittany-Ann always tries to get attention from the other kids. Deep down, she's a little insecure. She cares a lot about her looks, which is very different from BG's tomboy style.
- Doodlebug is Brittany-Ann's pet dog.
- Terri (Florence in French) is BG and George's babysitter when Aunt Alice isn't free. She's a college student who loves spending time with the kids. She especially enjoys dancing with BG and baking cakes for them.
- Ouma Mansour (Djeda in French) is Gad's grandmother. She lives with Gad and his dad and takes care of their home and cooking. She also has a vegetable garden. BG often goes to Ouma when she needs help.
- Billy (Paulo in French) is 9 or 10 years old and the oldest in BG's class. He thinks the other kids are babies. Billy is great at skating and loves to show off his skills. He also has a crush on Brittany-Ann. Billy is Kayla's brother.
- Kayla (Carla in French) is Billy's younger sister. She's Brittany-Ann's best friend and often does whatever Brittany-Ann tells her to, which BG doesn't like.
- Titus is Kayla's female hamster, who looks a lot like George's hamster, Albert. Sometimes, they can't tell them apart!
- Mr. Ahmed Mansour is Gad's father and Ouma's son.
- Robbie (Thomas in French) is Alex's older brother. He and Terri are often seen together.
- Mrs. Martin is a blonde-haired math and science teacher. She's also the homeroom teacher for BG, Gad, Alex, Brittany-Ann, Kayla, and Billy.
- Mr. Tyrone Grant is the school principal. He also teaches gym and sometimes fills in for other teachers. He has a dog named Mitzi.
