Neil Crone (born May 29, 1960) is a talented Canadian actor and writer. He is famous for his many roles in movies and TV shows. You might know his voice as Gordon, Diesel 10, and Splatter from Thomas and the Magic Railroad. He also voiced Dr. Chu in the Pecola series.

More recently, Neil Crone returned to voice Gordon in the new Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go! show. He has also appeared in live-action films like New York Minute and It. On TV, he played Bud Topper in Noddy and Fred Tupper in Little Mosque on the Prairie.

Early Life and Learning

Neil Crone was born in Scarborough, Toronto, on May 29, 1960. He went to Sir John A. MacDonald Collegiate Institute. Later, he studied radio and television arts at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute. He then earned a degree in education from the University of Toronto.

Before becoming a full-time actor, he taught English and drama. He taught for three years at King City Secondary School. After teaching, he joined The Second City Touring Company in Toronto. This was a big step towards his acting career.

Acting and Writing Career

Neil Crone has lent his voice to many popular characters. He voiced Gordon the Big Engine, Diesel 10, and Splatter in the movie Thomas and the Magic Railroad. He also voiced Robert in the animated series Iggy Arbuckle. You might also recognize his voice as Dwayne in Total Drama Presents: The Ridonculous Race.

On television, Neil Crone played Fred Tupper in Little Mosque on the Prairie. He also appeared in shows like I Love Mummy and The Red Green Show. He was a panelist on the game show The Next Line. He even hosted a children's game show called Wild Guess.

Besides acting, Neil Crone is also a writer. He writes articles for the This Week newspaper in the Durham Region. In 2021, he returned to voice Gordon the Big Engine in the new Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go series.
