What is Endlings About?
The story follows four young kids who live with their foster dad, Mr. Leopold (Neil Crone). They live on a farm and their lives change forever when they find an alien. The alien's spaceship crashes on their property.
The kids soon get involved in a big adventure. They help the alien with its important mission. The alien's goal is to save endangered species from Earth.
The Storyline
Season 1: The Beginning of the Adventure
The first season starts 20 years in the future. An alien visitor takes Tuko, the very last elephant on Earth. Tuko lived in an African wildlife park since she was a baby. But as the alien leaves Earth, its ship breaks down. It crashes on Mr. Leopold's farm in North America.
Mr. Leopold is a foster parent. He is about to welcome a new foster kid named Julia. She will join his other foster children: Johnny, Tabby, and Finn. Julia tries to run away soon after she arrives. But then she finds the last elephant on Earth in the cornfields! This makes her decide to go back.
Julia, Johnny, Tabby, and Finn are not friends right away. However, they learn to work together. They discover the alien ship crashed into the barn. An injured alien is inside, and another insect-like alien has escaped.
Julia slowly learns to trust her new foster family. She starts to share her past struggles. Johnny, Tabby, and Finn also begin to talk about their own difficult memories.
Meanwhile, the main alien is getting weaker. It doesn't know much about Earth's environment. It also can't talk directly with the kids. Luckily, Abiona Maina, a wildlife expert, tracks Tuko to the farm. She used to care for Tuko. Abiona realizes the alien is not bad. She uses her animal knowledge to save its life.
The kids face many challenges. But they have each other to rely on. Their growing friendship helps them a lot. They need to work together to catch the "endlings" that escaped. These are the last of their kind. Some endlings communicate in ways humans can't hear. Others might seem scary but aren't. And some are so cute the kids want to keep them!
Season 2: Fighting for the Future
The story continues in the year 2041. Julia, Johnny, Tabby, and Finn are still helping their alien friend, Ling. They work to save amazing endlings. Mr. Leopold and Dr. Abiona Maina also help them. The group is close to finishing their mission. They need to gather the remaining "last of their kind" creatures.
But then, Ling accidentally shows Tabby a vision. It's a vision of their mission failing. The team learns that Ling's powers can show the future, not just the past. This peek into the future reveals Tresa Hewes. She is the CEO of Infinitum Corporation. Tresa has been tracking them for her own secret reasons. In the vision, she captures Ling and the endlings. She also tears the foster family apart.
The group decides to face their past pains. They want to change their future and save Ling. This choice to fight against fate starts a season full of exciting adventures. These four brave teens must learn to let their hopes, not their hurts, guide their future.
