Emma Slevin was born on May 2, 2003. She is a talented artistic gymnast from Ireland. She represented her country at the Youth Olympic Games in 2018.
In 2021, Emma made history! She was the first Irish female gymnast to reach the senior all-around finals at both the European Championships and the World Championships. She also won the all-around championship at the Northern European competition in 2024.

Emma Slevin was born in Galway, Ireland, on May 2, 2003.
Junior Gymnastics Journey
Competing in 2016 and 2017
In 2016, Emma competed in the Irish Championships. She won first place in the Espoir (younger gymnasts) group. She also won gold on the balance beam, bronze on floor exercise, and placed sixth on uneven bars.
The next year, she competed as a junior. She earned second place, just behind another gymnast named Meg Ryan. Emma first competed internationally at the 2017 Flanders International Team Challenge in Ghent. She finished 24th in the all-around. She also helped her team from Ireland get seventh place. She also competed at the European Youth Olympic Festival. She finished 47th during the qualifying rounds.
Amazing Year in 2018
Emma competed at the English Championships in 2018. She finished first in the junior guest division. At the Irish Championships, Emma won first place in the junior division.
In June, Emma competed in the Youth Olympic Qualifier. She finished 16th, which earned Ireland a spot at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics. At the Irish Super Championships, Emma finished second on uneven bars. She also won first place on floor exercise. She competed at the European Championships. However, she did not qualify for any event finals there.
Emma was chosen to represent Ireland at the 2018 Youth Olympics. This made her the first Irish female gymnast to ever do so. She was also chosen to carry the Irish flag at the opening ceremonies.
At the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Emma qualified for several finals. These included the all-around, vault, uneven bars, and balance beam finals. In the all-around final, she placed sixth. During the individual event finals, she placed eighth on both vault and uneven bars. She finished fifth on the balance beam.
Senior Gymnastics Career
Starting Senior Competitions in 2019
Emma became a senior gymnast in 2019. She competed at both the European Championships and the European Games. She did not qualify for any event finals at these competitions. In October, she competed at the World Championships. She placed 96th in the all-around during the qualifying rounds.
Making History in 2021
In April 2021, Emma competed at the European Championships. During the qualifying rounds, she placed 27th in the all-around. This allowed her to move on to the final. By doing this, Emma made history! She became the first Irish female gymnast to reach a senior all-around final at any European Artistic Gymnastics Championships. She finished 19th in the final.
In October 2021, Emma competed at the World Championships. She placed 21st during the qualifying rounds. This meant she qualified for the all-around final. She became the first Irish female gymnast to qualify for a senior all-around final at the World Championships.
