Emmanuelle Mignon (born 26 April 1968) is a French government official and politician. She is known for her work with former French president Nicolas Sarkozy. She served as his chief of staff when he was president. A chief of staff helps the president manage their daily work and team.

Emmanuelle Mignon's Education

Emmanuelle Mignon studied at several important schools in France. She went to the ESSEC business school and graduated in 1990. She also studied at the Institut d’études politiques of Paris, often called Sciences Po, graduating in 1992.

Later, she attended the École nationale d’administration (ENA). This school trains people for high-level jobs in the French government. She finished at the top of her class in 1995. Before these universities, she attended private schools in Neuilly and Versailles.

Emmanuelle Mignon's Career in Government and Law

Emmanuelle Mignon started her career working with Nicolas Sarkozy. When he was the Minister of the Interior, she became an adviser in his team. She helped with legal matters and civil liberties. Later, she advised him on economic topics when he was at the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

On 16 May 2007, when Nicolas Sarkozy became President of France, he chose Emmanuelle Mignon to be his chief of staff. This was a very important role, helping the president with many daily tasks and decisions.

After her time in government, she worked in the private sector. From 2010 to 2012, she was the General Secretary at EuropaCorp, a film company. In 2015, she became a lawyer in Paris and joined a law firm called August Debouzy as a partner. She worked on public and regulatory issues.

In Fall 2023, Emmanuelle Mignon was appointed as a vice-president for the political party Les Républicains. Her job was to help plan the party's goals for future elections, including the European elections in June 2024 and the presidential election in 2027.
