En ettas dagbok is a popular children's book from Sweden. It was written by Viveca Lärn, who was known as Viveca Sundvall at the time. The book came out in 1982. It is the very first book in the exciting Mimmi book series.
This book is special because it is written like a diary. It tells the story of Mimmi's life from August 16th to April 30th. During this time, Mimmi starts her first year of school. Later, En ettas dagbok was put into a collection called "Mimmis bok". This collection also included two other Mimmi books: Roberta Karlsson och kungen and Vi smyger på Enok.
In 1985, the book was made into a TV series. This helped even more people enjoy Mimmi's adventures.
The Story of Mimmi
The book begins when Mimmi starts the first grade at school. It is a big step for her. Her teacher is called "Gullfröken". Gullfröken is the teacher for Mimmi's elementary school class.
Mimmi has a friend who is two years older than her. This friend goes to the third grade. Mimmi also meets the school's janitor. The janitor often seems to be in a grumpy mood. The book shares Mimmi's thoughts and feelings about her new school life. It shows what it is like to be a first grader.
From Book to TV
Because the book was so popular, it was turned into a TV show. The TV series En ettas dagbok came out in 1985. This allowed viewers to see Mimmi's world come to life. It helped the stories reach an even wider audience.
