About Enda Wyley
Enda Wyley was born in Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1966. She still lives in Dublin today.
She studied at the Marino Institute of Education in Dublin. After finishing her studies, she worked for twenty years as a primary school teacher. This experience likely helped her understand what children enjoy reading! Later, she earned a Master's degree in creative writing from Lancaster University.
Enda Wyley is married to Peter Sirr, who is also a poet. They have one daughter.
Her Creative Work
Enda Wyley is known for both her poetry and her children's books. She has been a "Poet-at-Work" at the Coombe Maternity Hospital in Dublin. She also served as a "Writer in Residence" at the Marino Institute, where she once studied. This means she spent time there helping others with their writing.
