The Endeavour Learning and Skills Centre is a place in Kingston upon Hull, England, where people can learn new skills. It's run by Hull Training & Adult Education. History of the Centre

Endeavour High School's Start
The story of this site began in 2001. That year, two schools, William Gee and Amy Johnson, joined together to create Endeavour High School. Soon after, plans were made to build a brand new school building.
The new school was built on Beverley Road in Hull. It cost about £15 million to build. The money came from selling shares in a company called Kingston Communications. The new school opened its doors in 2003. It also had new sports facilities nearby.
Challenges and Changes
After the new school opened, it faced some challenges. In 2004, school inspectors from Ofsted said the school needed a lot of improvement. This meant the school was put into "special measures." It improved and came out of special measures in 2005. However, it was put back into special measures again in 2009 and a third time in 2012.
Despite these challenges, the school worked hard to improve its results. By 2010, students achieved their best ever GCSE results. A high number of students passed their exams.
Why the School Closed
By 2013, Endeavour High School had fewer students than it could hold. It was built for 1200 students but only had about 500. This made it hard for the school to pay for everything it needed. Also, many other schools in Hull had extra space.
Because of these reasons, the local council decided to consider closing the school. In 2013, they started talking to people about this idea. The plan was to move younger students to other schools in 2014. The high school officially closed in August 2015. The last 101 students finished their exams and left in June 2015.
A New Purpose for the Building
Even before the high school fully closed, there were plans for the building. In 2014, Hull Training & Adult Education decided to use the site. They wanted to offer classes and training for adults there. This meant that adult education classes from other places in the city moved to the Beverley Road site.
After Endeavour High School closed in June 2015, the building got a new name. It became the Endeavour Learning and Skills Centre. Today, it continues to help people in Hull learn and grow. The sports facilities are also open for the community to use.
