They are connected to the Upplands Fotbollförbund, which is a regional football association. The club was promoted to Ettan Norra for the 2025 season. This happened after they won a special playoff in 2024. Ettan Norra is the third highest football league in Sweden.

Enköpings SK FK started on March 2, 1914. Since then, the club has mostly played in the middle and upper levels of Swedish football. Their best time was in the early to mid-2000s. During this period, they played for six seasons in the Superettan league. They even played one season in the Allsvenskan in 2003. The Allsvenskan is the top football league in Sweden.
After 2003, the team faced some tough years. They were moved down to lower leagues in 2008 and 2009. However, they kept fighting and moved up and down between leagues. In 2024, they had an exciting playoff against FBK Karlstad. Enköpings SK FK won with a total score of 6-5 over two games. This win helped them get promoted. The club now plays in Ettan Norra, which is the third level of Swedish football.
