Enny's Early Life and Music Start
Enny grew up in Thamesmead, South East London, with her parents and five siblings. Her family has roots in Nigeria. From a young age, Enny loved music. Her dad taught her how to play instruments, like the keyboard. She also joined a local street dance group where they danced to American hip-hop music.
Her family and friends introduced her to jazz, gospel, and hip-hop music. These styles later inspired her own songs. After finishing high school, Enny tried working in the film industry for two years. But she wasn't happy with it. So, she decided to focus on music and creating her own freestyle songs.
Enny's Music Journey
Enny started her music career by sharing freestyle videos on YouTube. These videos helped her release her first song, "He's Not Into You," in April 2020. This song talked about the honest truth of dream relationships.
Because of this popular song, Enny met Pascal, her manager. He introduced her to a music studio program called Root 73. Later, the famous English singer-songwriter Jorja Smith noticed Enny's talent. Jorja Smith then signed Enny to her own music label, FAMM. In 2021, Enny released "Peng Black Girls." She also released a remix of the song that featured Jorja Smith herself.
