Alfonso Enrique Ponce Martínez (born December 8, 1971) is a famous Spanish bullfighter. He is known by his professional name, Enrique Ponce. He was born in Chiva, a town in the Valencia region of Spain.

Enrique Ponce's Life and Career
Enrique Ponce started his journey in bullfighting at a young age. He first appeared in public on August 10, 1986. This was at the Plaza De Toros in Baeza, a city in the Jaén province of Spain.
He trained at the Bullfighting School of Valencia. His early professional appearances, known as "debuts with picadors," began on March 9, 1988. This took place in Castellon, Spain.
A Record-Breaking Bullfighter
Enrique Ponce has had a very long and successful career. He is the first bullfighter in history to perform in more than 2,000 bullfights, called corridas. He reached this amazing milestone on September 4, 2010, in Ronda, Spain. This shows how dedicated and skilled he is in his profession.
Challenges and Injuries
Bullfighting can be a dangerous sport, and Enrique Ponce has faced several injuries. For example, in 2014, during a festival in Valencia, he was injured by a bull. This caused him to break his collarbone and several ribs.

Enrique Ponce married Paloma Cuevas Díaz on October 25, 1996. He often said she was his biggest supporter. They had two daughters together. Their first daughter, also named Paloma, was born on April 27, 2008. Their second daughter, Bianca, was born on January 9, 2012.
In 2020, Enrique and Paloma decided to get a divorce. After this, Enrique Ponce began a new relationship with Ana Soria.
