Enrique Ernesto "Quique" Wolff, born on February 21, 1949, is a famous Argentine journalist and a former professional football player. He played as a defender and even represented his home country, Argentina, in the 1974 FIFA World Cup. After his football career, Quique became a well-known sports broadcaster.

Quique Wolff's Football Journey
Quique Wolff started his football career in 1967 with a team called Racing Club. He was born in Victoria, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He played for Racing Club for five years.
Playing for Top Clubs
In 1972, Quique moved to another big Argentine club, River Plate. He played there for two years. In 1974, he made a big move to Spain and joined UD Las Palmas.
After three years with Las Palmas, Quique joined one of the biggest football clubs in the world, Real Madrid. He was a key part of the Real Madrid teams that won the Spanish league championship twice, in the 1977-1978 and 1978-1979 seasons.

In 1998, Simplemente Fútbol moved to Fox Sports Americas. Since 2000, the show has been airing on ESPN Latin America. It became very popular across Latin America.
Quique Wolff on SportsCenter
Quique Wolff also became a main anchor for SportsCenter on ESPN Latin America. He often hosted the show's first edition for the South Cone region, alongside Enrique Sacco. These shows were broadcast live from Buenos Aires.
On May 30, 2024, Quique Wolff left the channel after 32 years. This also meant the end of his long-running TV program, Simplemente Fútbol.
