An Ensign is the lowest rank for an officer in the armed forces of some countries. This rank is usually found in the infantry (soldiers who fight on foot) or the navy (the part of the military that fights at sea).
What is an Ensign?
An Ensign is like a starting point for officers. When someone finishes their officer training, they often begin their career as an Ensign. They are new leaders who are learning the ropes.
