Epleys (also known as Epley Station or Epley's Station) is a small place in Logan County, Kentucky, in the United States. It is an unincorporated community, which means it's a group of homes and businesses that doesn't have its own official local government like a city or town. Epleys is located near a main road called U.S. Route 431 and a railroad line. It is about 4 miles (6.4 km) northwest of the town of Russellville.
The Story of Epleys
Epleys was first settled around the year 1872. It was planned to be a stop along a new railroad line that was expected to be built through the area. A man named Fritz Epley was the first person to settle there. The community was named after him.
Epleys even had its own post office at different times. One post office was called Epley and operated from 1887 to 1888. Another post office, named Epley Station, served the community from 1891 until 1921.
