Logan County is a county located in the southwestern Pennyroyal Plateau area of Kentucky, United States. As of the 2020 census, about 27,432 people lived there. Its main town and county seat is Russellville.

History of Logan County
Logan County is named after Benjamin Logan. He was a brave leader during the American Revolutionary War. He also worked hard to help Kentucky become a state.
The county was created on September 1, 1792. It was the 13th county formed in Kentucky. Logan County was originally very large. It stretched from the Mississippi River in the west to the Little Barren River in the east. It also went from the Green River and Ohio River in the north to the Tennessee border in the south. Over time, 28 other counties were formed from this big area. The town of Logan Court House became the county seat and was later named Russellville.
A famous event happened in Logan County in 1806. Future President Andrew Jackson was involved in a duel there. This event took place at Harrison's Mill.
