Eric Cuthbert Christmas (born March 19, 1916 – died July 22, 2000) was a British actor. He appeared in over 40 movies and many TV shows. He was probably best known for playing Mr. Carter. Mr. Carter was the principal of Angel Beach High School in the comedy movies Porky's (1981), Porky's II: The Next Day (1983), and Porky's Revenge! (1985). He also played Reverend Diddymoe in the TV show Amen.

Eric Christmas was born in London, England. Later, he moved to Canada. He played a priest in the 1971 movie Harold and Maude. He also appeared in other films like Monte Walsh (1970) and The Andromeda Strain (1971).

Eric Christmas was in Johnny Got His Gun (1971) and The Last Tycoon (1976). He also acted in Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (1978), which was a funny movie. Later, he was in The Changeling (1980) and The Philadelphia Experiment (1984). One of his last movies was Mouse Hunt (1997). He also played a judge in the family movie Air Bud (1997).

Eric Christmas was a guest star on many popular TV shows. He was in Columbo and ALF. On ALF, he played Bernie, an older person living in a retirement home. He also appeared on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Seinfeld. In Seinfeld, he played Jeffrey Harharwood.

Besides acting, Eric Christmas also taught drama. He went to San Diego to help restart the La Jolla Playhouse. He directed plays there, like The Man Who Came to Dinner. He also acted in and directed plays for the San Diego, California's Old Globe Theatre's Shakespeare Festivals for many years.
During the 1970s and 1980s, he was a drama professor at the University of California, San Diego. He also gave theater presentations at local high schools.
Later Life and Death
Eric Christmas passed away on July 22, 2000. He was 84 years old. He died from natural causes. He was buried at the Santa Barbara Cemetery in Santa Barbara, California.
