Starting Out: Star Circle Quest and Early Roles (2004-2008)
Erich's career began when she won the second season of Star Circle Quest in 2005. This made her a "Grand Questor." After her win, she joined Star Magic, a training program for new talents at ABS-CBN.
Erich soon became a familiar face on TV. She appeared in many shows as a supporting actress. One of her early roles was Dorina in the popular TV series Mga Anghel na Walang Langit. She also played Waling-Waling in the teen show Abt Ur Luv. Later, she was Ella in the drama series Pieta. Erich showed her acting skills as Camille in Sana Maulit Muli. In this show, she acted alongside Gerald Anderson and Kim Chiu.
Becoming a Star: The Katorse Breakthrough (2009)
Erich Gonzales became very famous in 2009. This happened when she played the main character in Katorse. This TV show was based on a 1980 film. She starred with Enchong Dee, Ejay Falcon, and Xian Lim. Katorse became a top-rated show and was praised by critics. This success made Erich a big star. She was even called the "Breakthrough Star of 2009" by the TV show The Buzz.

Maria la del Barrio ended successfully in March 2012. Soon after, another of Erich's independent movies was released. She starred in a horror film called Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang with Derek Ramsay. The movie was very popular with audiences. It earned seven million pesos on its first day. This made it the "Highest Grossing Digital Film." Because of this, Star Cinema gave Erich the title "Philippine Box Office Queen for Digital Independent Film."
In May 2012, Erich began working on a big project, Suddenly It's Magic. This movie was with Thai actor Mario Maurer and was produced by Star Cinema. It was the first movie made together by Filipino and Thai production teams and actors. The film was released in the Philippines on October 31, 2012. It was later shown in Thailand and Cambodia.
The end of 2012 was very busy for Erich. She visited Canada in August for the TFC Liga Kapamilya Basketball Finals. She performed for crowds in Oshawa, Ontario, and Burnaby, British Columbia. In 2014, Erich Gonzales and Enchong Dee reunited for a movie called Once a Princess. It was directed by Laurice Guillen. Erich took on a challenging role in the TV series Two Wives. She married her long-time boyfriend, businessman Mateo Lorenzo, in March 2022.
