Erickson Lubin (born October 1, 1995) is an American professional boxer. He is known by his nickname, "The Hammer." In 2017, he fought for the WBC super welterweight boxing title. As of January 2022, experts like The Ring magazine ranked him as one of the top super welterweight boxers in the world.

Erickson Lubin's Early Life and Amateur Career
Erickson Lubin was born in Orlando, Florida. His parents are from Haiti. Growing up, he looked up to famous boxers like Oscar De La Hoya.
Amateur Boxing Achievements
Lubin was a very successful amateur boxer. In 2013, he won the Golden Gloves championship as a welterweight boxer. He had an impressive amateur record of 143 wins and only 7 losses. Many people thought he would try out for the 2016 Olympics. However, he decided to become a professional boxer instead.

Fighting Jorge Cota
After 17 wins, Lubin faced Jorge Cota in March 2017. This fight was important because the winner would get to challenge for the WBC super welterweight title. Lubin won the fight in the fourth round by technical knockout (TKO). This meant the referee stopped the fight because Cota could not continue safely. With this win, Lubin earned the right to challenge Jermell Charlo for the title.
Challenging Jermell Charlo for the Title
On October 14, 2017, Lubin fought Jermell Charlo for the WBC super welterweight title. The fight took place in Brooklyn, New York. This event was a big night for boxing, with three super welterweight title fights happening. Charlo won the fight quickly, knocking Lubin out in the first round.

Lubin was knocked down in round 2, and he knocked Fundora down in round 7. However, Lubin's face was badly damaged, and his corner stopped the fight in the ninth round. This fight was considered one of the best fights of 2022.
Recent Fight Against Jesus Ramos Jr.
On September 30, 2023, Lubin fought against the undefeated young boxer Jesus Ramos Jr. in Las Vegas. Lubin won this fight by unanimous decision after 12 rounds. He also won the vacant WBC Diamond super welterweight title.
