Erin Densham is an amazing Australian athlete who competes in triathlons. She was born on May 3, 1985, in Camden, New South Wales, Australia. Erin won a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympic Games.

Early Life and Education

Erin Densham went to Ruse Public School and John Therry Catholic High School. She also studied fitness, earning a Certificate III. Today, she lives in St Kilda, Victoria, Australia.

Triathlon Career

Erin Densham is a professional triathlete. A triathlon is a race with three parts: swimming, cycling, and running. Athletes must complete all three parts one after another.

Olympic Games

Erin has competed in the Olympic Games for Australia.

  • In 2008, she raced in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She finished in 22nd place.
  • In 2012, Erin achieved a great success at the 2012 London Olympic Games. She won a bronze medal in the individual triathlon event. This was a huge achievement for her and for Australia.

Health Challenges

In 2009, Erin faced some serious health problems. She had heart issues and also suffered from glandular fever. These health challenges made it very difficult for her to compete. During one race in Des Moines, she even needed help getting out of the water. Despite these difficulties, she kept working hard to get back to her best.

French Club Series

In 2010, Erin Densham also competed in a special French club championship series called Lyonnaise des Eaux. Many top international athletes join these French clubs. Erin was a key athlete for the Poissy Tri club. At the first race in Dunkirk on May 23, 2010, she finished in 2nd place. Her strong performance helped her team, Poissy Tri, win the club ranking for that event.

ITU Competitions

The International Triathlon Union (ITU) organizes many triathlon races around the world. Between 2004 and 2010, Erin Densham took part in 44 ITU competitions. She was very consistent, finishing in the top ten 22 times. This included winning eight gold medals in various races.
