Escorca is a small area or "municipality" located in the northwest part of Mallorca. Mallorca is one of the beautiful Balearic Islands, which are part of Spain.
Escorca is known for its stunning natural beauty. It is a very quiet place with a small population. In 2024, only about 194 people lived there. This makes it one of the least populated areas in Mallorca.
Mountains and Peaks
Escorca is nestled in the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range. This area is famous for its tall mountains and amazing views. Many people visit Escorca to hike and explore nature.

Local Government
Even though Escorca is small, it has its own local government. The leader of the municipality is called the Mayor. As of now, the Mayor of Escorca is Antoni Solivellas Estrany. He belongs to a political group called the PP. The Mayor helps manage the local services and decisions for the people living in Escorca.
