Esom Hill, Georgia facts for kids
Esom Hill is a small place in Polk County, located in the U.S. state of Georgia. It's called an unincorporated community, which means it's a place where people live but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town does. Instead, it's managed by the county government.
History of Esom Hill
The first people to settle down permanently in Esom Hill arrived in the year 1848. Just two years later, in 1850, a post office was opened there, helping people send and receive letters. The community got its name to honor the Esom family, who were early residents in the area.
