History of Estothel
Estothel has a short but interesting history. For a few years, it was known by a different name.
The Gatlin Post Office
From 1901 to 1905, a post office operated in this community. It was known as the Gatlin post office. A post office was a very important place back then. It helped people send and receive letters and packages. It also connected the community to the outside world.
Having a post office often meant a community was growing. It showed that enough people lived there to need this service. Even though the post office eventually closed, its time in operation is a part of Estothel's past.
